Great Snow Skiing in Wyoming and Montana – November 8th, 2003

Jackson Hole, Wyoming and Big Sky, Montana are two fabulous places to visit and ski during the Winter/Spring.

If you are thinking of heading out of town for a beautiful yet exciting ski trip, Jackson Hole and Big Sky are two great spots to think about. They are located about 3 hours away from each other by car in good driving conditions. Jackson Hole, Wyoming is a great resort with some of the most challenging ski trails in the USA. There are a few non-stop direct flights from LAX that take about 2 hours to get there. Otherwise, there are connecting flights, which take a bit longer. The Winter Season runs from early December to early April every year. There are also some beautiful summer activities available. Snowmobile and dogsledding are two fun adventures also available at the Resort Mountain. For more information about the Ski Resort and Winter Activities, you can go to their website at www.jhsnow.com.

Big Sky, Montana has to be one of the most breath taking places around. Big Sky is the largest ski resort in Montana and there are some incredible runs for all types of skiers. Their Winter Season begins in late November and ends in early-mid April. There are also some fascinating summer activities available. You can catch connecting flights from LAX into Bozeman, Montana and then take a 45-minute drive to Big Sky. For more information on skiing and other activities there, visit their website at www.bigskyresort.com. Snowmobile and dogsledding are also available there as well. Yellowstone National Park is also very close and offers some great Snowmobile adventures. Check with them as different rules apply. I recommend a full week trip taking a United Airlines non-stop flight and splitting up your time between the 2 resorts by renting a car and vesting Yellowstone along the way.
