The Famous “Kafer” Restaurant & P1 Nightclub in Germany – January 15th, 2004

On your next visit to Germany, don’t miss the exquisite "Kafer" Restaurant for a Fabulous Dining Experience. Afterwards in Munich, be sure to check out the Prestigious P1 Nightclub.

The famous Kafer Restaurant in Munich, Berlin, Frankfurt and Wiesbaden offers some of the best dining cuisine in all of Germany. Owner, Fienkost Kafer, also provides special event catering all over Europe for all the big party’s and functions. He also owns the glamorous P1 Disco in Munich.

On my visit to Munich, I first stopped in for a fine dining extravaganza at the Kafer Restaurant. I started with the delicious scallop soup with chives, next was a ravioli shrimp filled dumpling with a light sauce and veggies. For the main course, I sampled the catfish with dill, veggies and superbly baked potatoes, as well as the highly recommended delectable lamb chops in its own jujus with eggplant and potatoes. Other appetizer specialties include a selection of vegetable or chilled shellfish starters, assorted salads, fresh oysters, two soups (garlic or lobster) and a great inclusion of bread.

Entrée favorites include a variety of fresh fish, catfish, sea bass, zander, tuna and St. Peters from the local area. All are served with the Chef’s special creations, sauces and side dishes. Or you can choose from the meat selections of veal, rabbit, baby chicken wokked with a Thai curry sauce and rice, venison or beef fillets.

Next comes your choice of (7) different cheeses to help you digest before indulging in the ever so popular desserts. A variety of fruit parfaits, cakes or my personal favorite – – the braised peach with raspberry tart and rosemary ice cream on a neat glass mirrored plate. There is a great array of wines available in Germany, France and Italy. Or go for one of their famous wellness cocktails with the fabulous Kombucha, an Austrian black currant/non-alcoholic juice.

Don’t expect to have a quick meal as the establishment was very crowded and each course takes a while. The upscale clientele enjoys the wood décor, a bouquet of flowers and carrots @ each candlelit table. You can also reserve one of their many private dining rooms for a more intimate or special occasion. So now you are ready to burn off a few of those calories. Head over to the Hot P1 Nightclub. This spot attracts the upper scale of people and fasion while drinking & dancing to some great current music by the House DJ. You must make sure to have just dined at the Kafer Restaurant, have a contact name/connection, or look very appealing to the Doormen to enter. If unsure, I recommend one of the first two choices as this place is rock’n and stays open till the wee hours of the morning (5-6 AM).
