WHAT: The Los Angeles Antique Show will kick off its four-day annual show on April 25, 2007 with an Opening Night Preview Party at Santa Monica’s Barker Hangar to benefit P.S. ARTS. This star-studded gala will have more than 2,500 of the community’s most influential professionals invited, spanning industries including design, architecture, entertainment, philanthropy and media. The Opening Night Preview Party will honor elite members of the art, design, architecture and entertainment worlds.

WHO: Hosts for the evening include Diane Keaton, Marc Appleton, Kelly Wearstler, Julia Sorkin, Kimberly Brooks, Waldo Fernandez, Lisa Eisner, Ed Ruscha, Maria Bell, Joe Nye and Michael Smith. Celebrity guests include Molly Sims (Las Vegas), Amber Valletta (Premonition), Debi Mazar (Entourage), Blythe Danner (Huff), Albert Brooks (Finding Nemo), Balthazar Getty (Brothers & Sisters), Dana Delaney (Kidnapped), among others to be announced.

ARTS mission is to restore art education programs to public elementary and middle schools in disadvantaged areas, predominantly serving children who live at or below the federal poverty level. This non-profit organization accomplishes this by providing comprehensive, sequential and grade-level appropriate programs in dance, music, theater and visual arts to every child at its 24 partner schools throughout the year from September to June. P.S. ARTS was founded as an outreach program of the Crossroads Community Foundation.

LOS ANGELES This April 26 – 29 leading design and lifestyle professionals, collectors and media will congregate at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica to view the finest furniture, objects, paintings and decorative arts at the 12th annual Los Angeles Antiques Show benefiting P.S. ARTS.

The Los Angeles Antiques Show, organized by The Antiques Dealers Association of California and produced by renowned event-designers Caskey-Lees, will showcase unique collections from 65 top antique and fine art dealers from around the world in a museum-like setting. The four-day event will kick-off with a star-studded Opening Night Preview Party with over 2,500 of the community’s most elite & influential professionals and tastemakers in attendance.

Show hours for the event are from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm on Thursday, 4/26, Friday, 4/27 and Saturday, 4/28 and 11:00 am to 5:00 pm on Sunday, 11/29. Tickets are available for purchase to the public at the door and prices will be $15 for daily admittance, which includes the show catalog. The 12th Annual Showcase Will Be Held On April 26-29, 2007 in Los Angeles

Los Angeles (February 27, 2007) Presented by the Antique Dealers Association of California (ADAC), The Los Angeles Antiques Show 2007 announced exciting new initiatives for the four-day annual show as well as a new charity beneficiary for this year’s event. Not only has the team begun focusing on a fresh direction for the show, featuring a curated exhibition entrance and new additions to their roster of world class dealers, but they have also joined hands with dynamic Los Angeles-based P.S. ARTS as the exclusive charity partner. This new partnership with P.S. ARTS will include a dynamic Opening Night Preview Party hosted by world-renowned artistic stars.

In its 12th year, the Los Angeles Antique Show is a widely anticipated event showcasing 65 top antique and fine art dealers from all around the world including Il Segno del Tempo/Milan, Hedge/San Francisco, Kentshire/New York to name a few. In addition, new dealers such as Marcie Carsey and Susan Baerwald will be launching their Americana collection “Just Folk” prior to their gallery opening in May 2007. Also, Jay Penske will be on-site with over 24,000 first edition books available through his company Dragon Books as well as the renowned photography dealer Peter Fetterman. For the first time ever, Michael Rosen’s new company, Degree, will debut in a unique booth featuring vintage Mercedes Benz, Porsches, early wristwatches and early car photography, all for which will be for sale. These dealers represent furniture, objects, paintings and decorative arts from antiquity through the 20th century. Each piece in this international show is authenticated and vetted through a committee of accomplished and experienced experts in their respective fields. The four-day event is attended by leading design professional and their clients, important collectors and representatives from the design and lifestyle media. Renowned event-designers Caskey-Lees produce the event, which displays the antiques in a museum-like setting at Barker Hangar at the Santa Monica Air Center. Last year, more than 7,500 people from around the world attended the show.

The Antique Dealers Association of California, founded in 1924, is a group of knowledgeable dealers pledged to integrity and fair dealing in the buying and selling of antiques. Members are experts in their individual fields with inventories ranging from 17th century baroque to Americana, from 18th century ceramics to fine rugs and textiles, from fine art to Asian antiquities to 20th century photography and design.

P.S. ARTS mission is to restore arts education programs to public elementary and middle schools in disadvantaged areas, predominantly serving children who live at or below the federal poverty level. This non-profit organization accomplishes this by providing comprehensive, sequential and grade-level appropriate programs in dance, music, theater and visual arts to every child at its 24 partner schools throughout the year from September to June. Since it’s founding by Paul Cummins in 1991 at Crossroads School, P.S. ARTS has positively impacted the lives of tens of thousands of children. Currently, the organization serves 14,000 Pre-K-8 grade students throughout Los Angeles County and California’s Central Valley. P.S. ARTS strives to raise more money to provide even more children with its critical educational tools.
