Joo Joo Panels to decorate the Baby’s room (3/10)

For those of us who are creatively challenged decorating a baby’s room can be a daunting task. I didn’t know what would appeal to my baby. What if I chose a theme and then she hated it once she got old enough to have an opinion? Decorating a room only to have to  re-do it did not appeal to me. I have friends who have stenciled cute pictures and nursery rhymes across the border of their child’s room. One friend painted the whole room with a jungle theme complete with wild animals and a life size gorilla protruding from the foliage. I could never live up to that! When I was expecting people would ask to see the “nursery” and my excuse was to tell them that I had really bad morning sickness and just couldn’t get my act together so it was not quite finished. I was not in a hurry though, the baby was going to be in our bedroom for the first few months anyway. Once our baby was four months old and in her own room I had less time and energy to decorate but I knew I had to do something. I did not want my fear of décor commitment to get the better of me. Thank goodness for Joo Joo Panels! This genius, creative idea has solved my decorating problem! Joo Joo Panels are light, bright foam panels with glossy, stylish graphics that you stick on your wall. You just peel and stick them on the wall and then can move them or replace them as your baby’s taste changes. There are dozens to choose from and they come in two sizes. The only hard part is picking which ones to buy! Luckily their website gives suggestions on pairing your panels (great for the creatively challenged like myself). The designs are whimsical and stimulating. You can even have the panels personalized with a picture of your baby or with his or her name on it. We chose an animal theme and our daughter, now 11 months old, loves to point to the different panels around her room and make the animal sounds. We put one panel with her name on it on her door which she points to and tries to say “Jaime”… her first stab at reading! One panel of with her smiling face is it over her crib. Her picture always cracks her up! Joo Joo Panels are a fun, commitment free, creative way to decorate a room. For more information and to order your panels check out: www.joojoobaby.com
