CALIFORNIA YOUTH CONNECTION PRESENTS “CULINARY INSPIRATIONS”
A Food, Wine and Spirits Event Celebrating California’s Foster Youth
EVENT DESCRIPTION: Culver City, CA, November 6, 2010 from 4-7pm, California Youth Connection will host Culinary Inspirations, their inaugural food, wine and spirit event celebrating California’s foster youth. Teams of re-known chefs, who have volunteered their time and talent, have been paired with a current or former foster youth to create dishes inspired by this unique collaboration. Both chef and current or former foster youth will be on hand to share with guests what inspired their creative dish. Guests will have the opportunity to:
· Meet successful young leaders from the foster care system.
· Sample and savor cuisines and wines from local chefs and restaurants.
· Indulge in tasting unique wines and premium spirits
AUDIENCE: 200+ influential community leaders, food enthusiasts and supporters who respect and admire the work of California Youth Connection in improving the lives of foster youth statewide.

THE ORGANIZATION: California Youth Connection (CYC) is a nonprofit statewide foster youth advocacy organization that empowers current and former foster youth to have a hand in policy development and legislative change surrounding the child welfare system through direct interaction with their local legislators. All proceeds from the event will benefit California Youth Connection (CYC).
