LOS ANGELES, Calif.Macy’s Passport Presents Glamorama2011comes to Downtown Los Angeles on Friday, September 23, at 8:00 p.m.at the Orpheum Theatre.This extraordinary event, which also wows audiences in Minneapolis, Chicago and San Francisco, brings together musical performances, fall fashion, designers, dancers, celebrities, and the most glam after party in townfor one ARTrageous night. Multitalented singer, songwriter, producer and musician Cee Lo Green, known for his recent chart-topper “Forget You” as well as co-writing and singing the Gnarls Barkley hit “Crazy,” headlines the show. Also set to perform is electro-pop quartet Far East Movement, which shot to fame with chart-topping singles “Like a G6” and “Rocketeer;” the group’s latest single “If I Was You” features rap artist Snoop Dogg.
 
Hosted by Pauley Perrette,this year’s show—themed ARTrageous—featuresa specialappearance by long-time supporterSharon Stone,who will introduce a tribute celebrating the life and work of legendary actress and AIDS activistDame Elizabeth Taylor, the founding chair of Macy’s Passport. This year’s event once again benefits AIDS Project Los Angeles and Project Angel Food.

This year’s featured designers include Tommy Girl, Rachel Rachel Roy, Armani Jeans, Calvin Klein, Tracy Reese, Bar III, Kenneth Cole Reaction and Papi.
 
“Fashion is truly a kinetic form of art. It’s always moving, always inspiring and ever-changing. As a background to the designer looks on the runway, the audience will enjoy a powerful visual show inspired by the arts,” said Mike Gansmoe, Macy’s Vice President of Special Productions. “From Degas to Banksy, ballet to breakdance, and everywhere in between, Macy’s Glamorama should prove to be an incredible journey.”
 
The excitement of the evening will continue following the show with a fashionable and over-the-top ARTlandish After Party downtown at California Mart with the cast and special guests, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres by Along Came Mary, music and more.
