Ocean Prime Fine Dining Restaurant in Beverly Hills for a memorable dining experience- March 2015
Ocean Prime is an exquisite restaurant in Beverly Hills that took over the spot that the El Torito Grill had occupied for years on the corner of Wilshire and Camden. The newly remodeled restaurant looks amazing and it opened the latter part of last year 2014. It has a very comfortable atmosphere with just the right amount of mood lighting. It is a great place to have a romantic dinner or a space to meet a friend for a cocktail. There is a separate dining area where they can do special events that has a tent on the other side of the main dining room. As you walk into the main dining room, you will pass the beautiful shellfish on ice location. 
There is a large variety of seafood and sushi at Ocean Prime, but they also have a great selection of steaks, pork and lamb chops and salads. The décor is absolutely beautiful and the staff/service was top notch including our waitress Sabin. The presentation of the dishes were spectacular and the overall vibe was fantastic. Try one of their signature cocktails such as the berries and bubbles or some wine to enhance your meal. You can sit at the bar area to eat or enjoy drinks as well. 
Starters include the delicate Goat Cheese Ravioli, the sweet, tangy and crunchy Calamari, the Ahi Tuna Tartare, and King Crab legs. There are also signature sushi rolls and a Raw Bar that has Oysters on the half shell, Colossal Shrimp Cocktail, Chilled Crab meat and a “Smoking” Shellfish Tower which is a huge tower of shellfish and seafood. The French Onion soup is as good as it gets and the salads are fresh and loaded with great stuff like the Ocean Prime House salad that has cut Granny Smith apples, walnuts, goat cheese and a sherry mustard Vinaigrette.
Entrees and sides:
The selection of fish included Blackened Pacific Grouper, King Salmon, Yellowfin Tuna and the Chilean Sea Bass which we ordered that will literally melt in your mouth. The 16 oz Kanas City steak on the bone was smokey and delicious and the Lamb Chops are a thick double cut and as good as anywhere in the city. Don’t miss some of their generous portion side dishes to accompany your meal. We loved the double baked potato and creamed spinach among many other choices.
The desserts at Ocean Prime are equally as impressive and delicious as the appetizers and main courses. There is a great variety of desserts like the Ten Layer Carrot Cake which is literally a ten layers high tower. The Baked Alaska is a masterpiece of pound cake, vanilla, chocolate and strawberry ice creams with toasted meringue and some fresh raspberries. The Blueberry lemon Cheesecake with it’s graham cracker crust and blueberry syrup will not disappoint. They also have a refreshing sorbet that is on the lighter side after a big hearty meal. There are also a wide variety of after dinner drinks.
Ocean Prime is positioned to be a a very popular spot in the Beverly Hills eating and meeting landscape for a long, long time.
