Golden State Warriors extend winning steak to start the season vs. the Bulls- November 2015

The Golden State Warriors came into the game vs the Chicago Bulls trying to extend their unbeaten streak to start this NBA season to 14 games going on a 17-5 run to end the game for the big win. Chicago was one of 2 teams to beat the NBA champions at home last season and they stayed close even without point guards Derrick Rose, backup Aaron Brooks and forward Mike Dunleavy. In the end, the Warriors depth and 3 pointers were too much including Mr MVP Stephen Curry, who had 27 points. The team was very well balanced and Harrison Barnes chipped in 20 points.

Jimmy Butler added 28 for the Bulls while Mirotic, Hinrich and Gasol added 18, 17 and 14 respectively. The rest of the team struggled and the biggest disappointment to me was Jaquim Noah, who looked like a shadow of his old self where only a few years ago he came in 3rd in the mvp voting. He looked lost and ended with zero points and 4 turnovers with no motivation going into his free agent year. The Bulls are one of the few teams that can compete with the Cavs in the Eastern conference but only at full strength.
Golden State has the confidence and Luke Walton has been doing a great job taking over for injured Steve Kerr as head coach. He ended up winning coach of the year in November yet all of the teams wins are still credited to Kerr under the NBA rules. The sell out crowd was going bonkers at the end of the game as they head to Denver next to extend the winning streak. More at www.nba.com/warriors
