Mega Pizza in Culver City offers a variety of Pizza, Persian Fusion influence- March 2016

With the “Nowruz” (Persian New Year – 1st day of spring/21st March) approaching, I decided to experiment this new restaurant that just opened in Culver City, on Washington Blvd, and near Sepulveda Blvd.

Mega Pizza & Grille is the name of this delicious restaurant. Family restaurant owned by Sofia & Sam; who are originally from Iran. They moved to Denmark after getting married where they opened their first restaurant. And after 12 years of success,  they decide to move to the US.

Mega Pizza & Grille is a blend of Scandinavian & Persian cuisine with a great variety and selection of food created by Chef Sofia: from the Traditional Pizza to the House Special Plates (Boneless Chicken Kabab (one of the best we have ever had) , or Beef Koobideh – served with Rice or Salad), you will have the choice…But don’t forget to try their original pizza in a form of a Canoe (“Canoe Pizza”) – 3 choices: Sausage, Meat Sauce or Mirza. There are many other pizza options including the pesto chicken, which was fantastic.

As well, you should definitely try the Falafel Pizza Sandwich or Falafel Wrap Sandwich…Delicious!  Wonderful salads as well.

At the end, we were lucky to have enough room to get their wonderful & refined desserts (Baglava and mini Persian Donuts) with a glass of traditional Persian tea. They also will be having saffron ice cream soon.

This place has all the ingredients to succeed: Great food, good price, nice staff and the restaurant is spacious &  clean.
