March 31– April 3, 2016 . With a perfect combination of both weather and location ,the annual Pebble Beach Food and Wine can be described as unique, indulgent, educational and fulfilling.

The 4 day experience includes cooking demonstrations, pairing classes, luncheons, Grand Tastings, after-parties, Open and Closing night receptions, and even a Golf Tournament. — More than 50 separate events, all of which typically sell out.

Whether you wish to attend Beer and Bites in the morning, or Bacon, Bourbon and Bones in the afternoon, there seems to be something for everyone. The most popular and most attended event is the Lexus Grand Tasting, which offers more than 300 world class wines (and spirits) and 30+ chefs providing unique, artisan bites. The 3 hour Grand Tasting takes place both Saturday and Sunday afternoon, with different choices each day.

Though some participating chefs travel from out of state, many represent their own restaurants from Monterey, San Francisco and regional areas. The same holds true for the distinguished wine makers, from all over the world. Yet, for those who prefer California wines, the selections from Napa, Sonoma, Russian River, Calistoga, Pasa Robles and Santa Inez were plentiful and delectable.

We were impressed to find that the event organizers had a handle on everything from parking safety, crowd control, comfort lounges, tables and music, to clean bathrooms and facilities all under a huge tent in an open field. – an impressive feat, facilitating a memorable experience for hundreds of guests, chefs and wine makers all enjoying the Grand Tasting.

Most of the other specialized tasting events took place at the beautiful Inn at Spanish Bay. Ample parking is available at all venues, with the added option of free flowing shuttle service.

Overall, this extraordinary annual event is something to experience at least once. Clearly its popularity is reflected in attendance and SOLD OUT individual events. And, as mentioned, the Pebble Beach location, on the renown 17 mile drive, certainly adds to the ambiance and appeal.

For those who live near Los Angeles, it may be of interest to know that CLM (Coastal Luxury Management) is the same group that produces the Annual L.A. Food and Wine Festival as well as the PBFW events. Take a look at the PBFW web site, to get an idea of all that is offered over this 4 day weekend: http://www.pbfw.com/
