LA Clippers outlast the Washington Wizards in a high scoring game as playoffs approach- March 2017

The LA Clippers beat the Washington Wizards in a high scoring affair at the Staples Center 133-124. It was a combination of great offense by both teams and not super defense. JJ Redick led the way with 31 points as he was red hot. Chris Paul contributed 27 points and 13 assists, Blake added 26 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists just missing a triple double while DeAndre Jordan had 23 points and 18 rebounds.

The Wizards were led by John Wall with 41 points and Bradley Beal with 27 points. Jason Smith had a nice game with 14 points off the bench and 8 rebounds. Markeif Morris also added 14 points before getting ejected from the game by technical fouls.

This was a big win for the Clippers as the playoffs approach trying to secure the #4 seed ahead of Utah as they are neck and neck. They lost their toughest game of the season a few days prior being up by double figures with about 5-6 minutes left to the not so good Sacramento Kings. The one setback was Austin Rivers having to leave suffering a hamstring injury so he will be re-evaluated to see how long he may be out for. He is having a career year and a big part of their bench with Crawford, Speights and Felton.    Coach Doc Rivers was pleased with his team overall but wants the defense to step up more.

Only 6 games left with only 2 being vs. winning teams (San Antonio and Houston).
