The outstanding DimSum House in Pasadena is worth the visit- April 2017
Lunasia DimSum House restaurant in the heart of Pasadena is worth the visit. This is the only dim sum restaurant in Pasadena. The food is cooked fresh to order so they do not have any carts rolling around food that may have been sitting around for a bit. This place is very popular and if you don’t get there early on the weekend, expect to wait. Start with one of their signature dim sum dishes. The shrimp har gow was my favorite but the scallop with shrimp dumplings with tobika on top was also fantastic.
They just started their new specialty menu and I loved the calamari with a delicious dipping sauce. One popular dish they brought out was the veggies with egg white, sprouts and glass noodles.
The seafood chowmein with crunchy noodles and perfectly cooked shrimp, calamari and chinese broccoli was so tasty and a huge portion. The service was very good and the staff including the manager Kevin and Jay were very welcoming as this place was worth the visit. I will be back and highly suggest dining there. They also have other authentic Chinese dishes from Peking Duck, Beef, Rice and noodle dishes, Soups and much more. There is an upstairs as well so it is quite spacious which also will tell you how good it must be if you have to wait while they have many tables on both levels.
