LA Clippers fall to Minnesota while continuing losing ways, injuries- December 2017

The LA Clippers came into the game vs. the young Minnesota Timberwolves with hopes of getting back on the winning track. They got Dino Gallernari back from his injury but he was not effective making only 2 of 13 shots. Austin Rivers and Lou Williams each had 23 points and DeAndre Jordan added 18 and 21 rebounds. However, nobody else had double digits and the balanced scoring by the Wolves and key plays at the end of the game made them winners 113-107. Doc Rivers still has the team playing hard and will not give in.

Minnesota’s starting five all scored between 16-21 points and ex-clipper Jamal Crawford added 11 off the bench. The additions of Jimmy Butler, Jeff Teague, Taj Gibson and Jamal Crawford have provided a lot of leadership and experience as they are on their way to a playoff birth if they continue the same way they are playing with no key injuries. Towns and Wiggins are the future of the team as they were top draft picks recently.

The Clippers are still without Blake Griffin for a while and hoping to get point guard Teodosic back soon as he is very much needed with Patrick Beverly out for the year. The bench is not too deep and with all the injuries, LA has had to go with young unproven players and even others up from the D league. More at www.nba.com/clippers.
