28th American Wine & Food Festival Preview (Our pick as the top wine/food event of the year 9/25/10

  • Created on Monday, 23 August 2010 14:05
  • Written by Todd Elliot and Jim Vatcher

On Saturday September 25th, 2010 Wolfgang Puck’s celebrated his 28th annual Wine & Food Festival on the back lot of Universal Studios.  Under the comfortable warm night air, the cobblestone back lot streets and the sweet smell of grilled perfection, 3000 eager people were treated to the "wine" & “foodie” event of the year.  Where else can you get fried clams from Boston,  Abalone from Monterey and other specialities from around the USA.

Gourmet chefs from all over the country cook their hearts out and don’t disappoint.   Chefs such as Thomas Keller of Bouchon. Nobu Matsuhisa of Matsuhisa in Beverly Hills and Rene Mata of Chinois on Main are just a sample of the culinary genius that assemble for this one magical night.

Any of the delicious mini meals can be paired with a top wine from around the country.  Cosentino, Coppola, and Gramercy wineries are just a sample of what is being poured along with gourmet vodkas and tequilas.  Decadent desserts paired with port wines are served in the Spago Sherry Yard’s Sweet Sanctuary as a live band rocks the house with rock n’ roll and dance tunes.

This event is not to be missed!  You will never have better food and wine options at one event.  Perfect night skies, live music and a beautiful setting make this our top pick of the wine/food event of the year.
