Delicious “Bubba Gump Shrimp” now open on the Santa Monice Pier in Los Angeles (12/05)
Bubba Gump Shrimp located on the world famous Santa Monica Pier is the new
kid in town for a fun filled dining experience. There is probably no
better place in the city to take in the spectacular ocean views and watch
the sun disappear into the water. It’s a phenomenal place to take a date
because of the fun and friendly service, the good music, the delicious
selection of beverages and smoothies, and shrimp! The shrimp is cooked in
many different ways with many different spices, so you are sure to find
something you’ll like.
Starters include a fresh Caesars salad, clam chowder, sautéed garlic shrimp,
spicy cajun shrimp, smoothies with or without alcohol and many other fun
things tomunch on. If you put down the sign on your table that
“Stops Forrest” from running a server will be at your table immediately.
The philosophy at Bubba Gump Shrimp is to hire people with great attitudes
and friendly personalities even if they have limited experience. It’s much
easier to teach the technical aspects of the job to someone, but very
difficult to teach charisma. The servers all have great attitudes which
makes for a casual and fun dining experience.
There is a variety of main course choices other than shrimp like a filet of
Mahi Mahi, hamburgers or steak, but a can’t miss dish is the Shrimp New
Orleans. Spicy Garlic/Butter Shrimp smothered in a mouth watering sauce that soaks into
the rice is a must. Get messy and have fun, there are plenty of paper
towels and wet wipes!
If you have any room for dessert you are in luck. The desserts will bring
you to your knees. The cinnamon bread pudding with vanilla ice-cream &
whiskey sauce is incredible and we heard the chocolate chip cookie sundae
is amazing as well.
After dinner don’t forget to browse the gift shop at Bubba Gump, there’s
plenty of great gift ideas to choose from. You can also stroll theSanta
Monica Pier and enjoy the rides, arcade and ocean views or walk up to the
Third Street Promenade and shop until you drop and “people watch”

If you don’t have an appetite and you just want to come to have a drink,
there is a 27 seat bar that has Monday Night Football and any other big
sporting event for you to watch.
