DINE WITH THE FISH AND GET A TASTE OF LONG BEACH DURING THE THIRD ANNUAL SEA FARE AT THE AQUARIUM OF THE PACIFIC
Dive into a diverse sampling of foods from local restaurants, “Go Fish” for great prize items, and “lend a fin” to educational and conservation programs
WHAT: Spend the evening enjoying a taste of Long Beach with local restaurant chefs serving their fabulous cuisine along with an open bar during the cocktail reception, live music, and other entertainment at the nonprofit Aquarium of the Pacific’s third annual fall fundraiser, Sea Fare. Also featured are live and silent auctions for special island get-a-ways and other unique items and a "Go Fish" opportunity where guests can go fishing for gift certificates to gourmet restaurants; tickets to performances at comedy clubs, symphonies, and operas; DVD’s; books; and many more fun and exciting items.
Some hot auction items include: a seven-night German Christmas market Danube river cruise from Nuremburg to Vienna; seven days in a 3brm/3b Italian villa complete with swimming pool in Cortona (Tuscany); four nights in a 2brm/2.5b luxury London apartment conveniently located in Kensington Park; eight-day expedition for two in the Sea of Cortez; getaways to Hawaii, Seattle, Palm Springs, Mammoth, Cambria, and Yosemite; a day with the Aquarium of the Pacific Dive Team; and much more.
In addition, the Aquarium of the Pacific will be announcing the winner of its Summer Odyssey Raffle. The winner will be receiving the keys to their brand new 2007 Honda Odyssey minivan valued at over $31,000.
All proceeds from Sea Fare fund the Aquarium’s education and conservation programs. California casual attire is suggested for the evening.
