Three-Time San Diego Champion Venus Williams Enters 2007 Acura Classic
Wimbledon Champion to Go for Fourth Title at La Costa
SAN DIEGO, CA, July 11, 2007 – Promotion Sports, Inc. today announced that Venus Williams has entered the 2007 Acura Classic, to be held July 28 – August 5 at the La Costa Resort & Spa. The 3-time San Diego champion and 6-time Grand Slam winner will make her 9th appearance at the tournament. Williams, who made headlines last week when she captured her fourth Wimbledon crown, won the Acura Classic three years in a row (’00, ’01, ’02). Because of her long history and commitment to the San Diego event (she first played here in 1995), she was presented with the Acura Classic Loyalty Award in 2002.

| The Acura Classic, which will be held July 28 – August 5 at the La Costa Resort & Spa, today announced that several exciting international tennis stars have signed up for the tournament, including surprise Wimbledon finalist Marion Bartoli. The 22-year-old French sensation will join several other top-20 entrants and up-and-comers at the Acura Classic, including her fellow Frenchwoman Tatiana Golovin, India’s Sania Mirza and Israel’s Shahar Peer, as well as first-time San Diego competitors Li Na from China and Michaella Krajicek from the Netherlands. |

| 2007 Acura Classic Announces Two Tournament Rule Changes That Will Benefit Fans and Players New Doubles Format; On-Court Coaching Allowed |
| SAN DIEGO, CA, July 2, 2007 –The 2007 Acura Classic, to be held July 28 – August 5 at the La Costa Resort and Spa, today announced two procedural rule changes in this year’s tournament designed to benefit both fans and players. First, the tournament’s Doubles competition will adopt no-ad scoring for the first two sets, which include tie-breaks if necessary. In addition, if the match stands at one set each, a 10-point match tie-break will take place in lieu of a third set. This format will result in a more predictable doubles time frame, with shorter matches. |

Martha Barnette, of the popular San Diego radio show "A Way with Words" on KPBS, will serve as master of ceremonies for the event, which will consist of a gala dinner with silent and live auctions led by tennis legend Pam Shriver.
