Los Angeles magazine’s 2nd Annual Culinary Extravaganza on Sunday, October 14,

at Kitchen Academy in Hollywood Benefits the Los Angeles Mission

 

What:               Los Angeles magazine’s The Food Event: Home Grown previews and brings to life The Food Issue, Los Angeles magazine’s November 2007 issue, which showcases ingredients made, farmed, or baked within two hours and 200 miles of home.  High-profile Los Angeles chefs and area restaurants will show and tell how they “go green” and keep it close to home.

 

When:              Sunday, October 14, 2007                             Hours:              2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

 

Price:               Tickets are only $40 (all demonstrations, food and drinks included) with $25 of each ticket benefiting the Los Angeles Mission, which aids the men, women, children, and families on Skid Row.

Activities:        Celebrity Chef Cooking DEMOS:  Learn recipes, tips, and techniques from L.A.’s brightest culinary stars.  Meet them up close and personal in Kitchen Academy’s demonstration theater, a state-of-the-art demonstration kitchen and on the outdoor Snyder Diamond gourmet kitchen stage.
