WHAT: The International Myeloma Foundation (IMF) will host the 2nd Annual Comedy Celebration Benefiting The Peter Boyle Memorial Fund on Saturday, November 15 at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre. Hosted by Ray Romano, the evening will be highlighted by a special musical performance featuring Dan Aykroyd and Jim Belushi as The Blues Brothers with The Sacred Hearts. Comedy performances and guest appearances by Jeff Garlin, Patricia Heaton, Kevin James, Doris Roberts, Robert Klein, and Fred Willard round out the show as they raise funds and awareness for the cause.
In the gala’s second year, IMF has added a silent auction to the evening’s festivities as they aim to surpass the $650,000 IMF raised in its inaugural year. The presenting sponsors are Celgene Corporation and Millennium: The Takeda Oncology Company.

MORE: In 2006 renowned actor Peter Boyle lost his battle to myeloma, a cancer of the bone marrow, which is incurable and often misdiagnosed. The Peter Boyle Memorial Fund was created in his honor to support the organization which provided invaluable help and information to him and his family throughout the course of the disease. The memorial fund will support the IMF’s research programs including Bank On A Cure®, the first global, myeloma-specific DNA bank and research initiative.
