YO SAN UNIVERSITY FACTS:

·        Yo San University is founded by brothers Dr. Daoshing Ni and Dr. Maoshing Ni consistent with their commitment to carry on their family’s legacy of 39 generations of TCM healers. They are prolific writers, having collectively authored and published dozens of books that are distributed widely around the world.  Dr. Dao’s recent book, The Tao of Fertility (Harper Collins), and Dr. Mao’s book Second Spring (Simon and Shuster) both deal with topics that have caught the attention of thousands of women and their partners.

·        YSU currently educates 150 students from diverse backgrounds to become TCM practitioners via a rigorous four year master’s degree program.

·        YSU looks forward to additional growth with the inauguration of its first doctoral program in January of 2010. The program will include a specialty focus in reproductive medicine/fertility.

·        YSU operates a community clinic and several externship sites that since t 2000 have delivered over 128,000 treatments at no cost or reduced costs.

·        Among the externship sites is a one-of-kind collaboration with Childrens Hospital of Los Angeles (CHLA), through its Pediatric Pain Management Unit.  That arrangement is now in the process of expanding from out-patient-only-pain relief referrals to a broader range of in- and out- patient services including those from CHLA rheumatology and gastrointestinal service units.

·        Additional YSU externship service sites provide much needed services to HIV positive patients through Being Alive in West Hollywood, Premiere Oncology for cancer patients in Santa Monica, and the Venice Family Clinic, where pain management and other treatments have been offered for more than ten years.
