LA Galaxy tie Montreal 0-0 as playoffs approach- September 2015

The LA Galaxy took on the Montreal Impact at the Stubhub Center on September 12th. Los Angeles was pretty much at full strength as they have fallen into second place in the Western Conference as the playoffs are nearing. Montreal has been average but obtaining long time English Premier legend Didier Drogba is a definite plus. The Ivory Coast star uses his big body and skills to give defenders fits. He had the closest chance of the whole game making a nice move and shooting one barely wide off of his left foot late in the second half.

The Galaxy didn’t look on their best game as even Bruce Arena mentioned in the after game interviews. Donovan Rickets made 2 big saves in the first half and Robbie Keane had a great chance late in the first half otherwise the score would have been different. Dos Santos had to leave after the first half with a groin injury and was replaced by Baggio Husidic. The impact lost one of their best players late in the first half with a foot injury. That was ex- USA national team player Justin Mapp, who showed some good ball skills but he was hobbling. Alan Gordon (74th minute) and Dan Gargan (88th minute), came on for Lletget and DeLaGarza respectively.

Their next game is Sept. 19th at Real Salt Lake on the road and then back home on Sept. 27th vs. Dallas. Note the Sept. 27th game has been moved from Sept. 26th.
