Winter Fest OC Returns by Popular Demand with Fifteen All New Attractions

Orange County, Calif. – (Nov. 15, 2016) – Winter Fest, Southern California’s largest winter experience,

has added five times the fun and attractions from its inaugural year and is returning to the OC Fair and

Event Center Dec. 16 – Jan 1. Some of the 15 plus new attractions include a two-million- light Festival of

Lights show, Snow Play area with real snow blown daily, an outdoor ice skating rink, live shows with

kid’s favorite characters, the world’s largest rocking horse, snow globe photos, Santa’s petting zoo and

story time with Mrs. Claus.

Beginning Dec. 16 the forecast calls for 17 straight days of snow creating the ultimate winter snow play

area for making snow angels, building snowmen or tubing on a toddler-friendly ice slide. For a quick rest

from the cold, the all-new Festival of Lights show is illuminated by two million sparkling lights and

features eight holiday themed lands to stroll through with a cup of hot chocolate or a wintery cocktail.

“We viewed the first year as a test run and it was huge success,” said Brad Billington of Mirage

Entertainment, the organizers behind this year’s Winter Fest. “We listened to all the customer feedback

and expanded the event this year to deliver on everything our customers wanted – more attractions,

more lights, more holiday-themed food and drink and exciting new entertainment for all ages.”

Also new this year will be live shows and meet and greets from kid’s TV and movie favorites including

Barbie, Bob the Builder, Octonauts, Thomas and Friends, Angry Birds, Sid the Science Kid, and Caillou.
