The Bissell House Bed & Breakfast in S. Pasadena- Great place to stay- April 2017

The Bissell House Bed and Breakfast is located in the quaint residential area of South Pasadena. The place is well kept with many rooms to use besides your bedroom. A home cooked breakfast is served at 9am every morning. The staff will be flexible if you need to alter your timing or diet restrictions. There is a nice outdoor backyard with a pool but naturally heated in the summer only.

They have a variety of rooms to choose from. I stayed in the Garden Room with a King Bed and spacious area with neat décor. You can find games, books and some fun trivial cards in the breakfast and living rooms. They also provide newspapers to read and you can come and go as you please as there is a code to get in. They also offer free wifi and parking.

The Bissell House Bed and Breakfast, a uniquely charming, three story shingle Victorian, with craftsman style influence. Step back in time and experience a piece of Pasadena’s heritage in a home that was built in 1887 and is elegantly situated in an upscale residential neighborhood located in beautiful, historic South Pasadena, California. Discover small town America a short half mile walk to Mission Street with it’s many and varied eateries, metro station, bookstores, antique shops, wineries, art galleries, yoga studios and historic library. They are located approximately a mile and one half from the heart of historic “Old Town” Pasadena dining, shopping district and convention center and only six metro stops from Union Station in downtown Los Angeles. The Norton Simon Museum, Fenyes Mansion Estate, Wrigley Tournament House, Greene and Greene Gamble House and Rose Bowl Stadium all either line or can be accessed off Orange Grove Boulevard within one to two miles north of them.
