LA Clippers fall to the trust the process Philadelphia 76’ers- November 2017

The LA Clippers came home to the Staples Center for one game to split up their long road trip and it was vs. the up and coming Philadelphia 76’ers. The visitors took it to the Clippers and handed them another loss as “trust the process” was chanted during the game for the young 76’ers with star center Joel Embiid playing a key role along with rookie Ben Simmons (who was the #1 pick but sat our all last year with a foot injury) 22 points and 12 rebounds.

JJ Redick (had an average game with 10 points and 6 assists) came back to town and LA gave him a nice ovation and special video montage in the second half. Small forward Robert Covington was on fire from outside and ended with 31 points. Back up point guard TJ McConnell had 4 points, 6 assists and 6 rebounds in only 18 minutes

The Clippers were still without injured Gallinari, Beverly and Tecodic. The game stayed very close but the younger visitors had more poise at the end making the key plays and shots to win 109-105. Philly improved to 10-7 while LA fell to 6-11, losing their 6th game in a row.

Lou Williams led the home team with 31 points and Blake Griffin added 29 but after that it was very thin. DeAndre Jordan had 2 points and 5 rebounds getting badly outplayed by Embiid, who had 32 points and 16 rebounds. Coach Doc Rivers was not happy after the game and wanted more balanced scoring. The Clippers hit the road again to go back east for some tough games while they are still banged up. More at www.nba.com/clippers
