Spa Desuar in downtown LA is a hidden gem- May 2018
The Desuar spa in downtown Los Angeles is a hidden gem off the beaten path. You would never know how nice it is down below in the basement when you are walking up to 215 W. 5th St. There is plenty of street parking nearby. After the security guard lets you in, you head to the elevator down to the bottom floor where the magic begins. We were greeted by Deisy, the owner, who was very welcoming. The place is very spacious with many unique and standard treatments and massages. My staff member Pat, received the relaxing swedish massage while Deisy herself gave me a fantastic hydrating facial.
Overall, it was great and I found out where I went there that they have one the only Himalayan Salt Bed with Chromotherapy that I have heard of where you can actually get massages on. They also have bath soaks to relax you before your massage. It is dimly lit so you feel calm when you are down there but trust me this place is worth the visit. Other treatments offered are reflexology, slimming, tanning, Lava Sea Shell Massage, Lymphatic Drainage, scrubs, wraps and waxing. I will have to go back and try the lava shell and Himalayan salt bed another time for sure while starting with a bath soak. More at www.spadesuar.com
