2018 Pier del Sol: Cheers to 50!
LONG BEACH, Calif. (Aug. 24, 2018) – On October 14th, join some of the best chefs and restaurants in Los Angeles as we celebrate Special Olympics’ 50th Anniversary at the 2018 Pier del Sol, an event that fuses great food with an amusement park experience to benefit Special Olympics Southern California athletes.

This is an exciting and unique day of fun on the historic Santa Monica Pier and Pacific Park. At the only food & spirit festival fused with a backyard private amusement park experience, attendees will enjoy an exclusive VIP brunch featuring mouthwatering tastings from more than 30 of L.A.’s top chefs and restaurants, a beer & wine garden, entertainment, music, arts & crafts, games, and unlimited rides. This year’s theme is “Cheers to 50,” a celebration to Special Olympics’ 50th anniversary.
This year’s Honorary Chef is Pinks Hot Dogs. The legendary restaurant has been a part of Pier del Sol for 17 of its 21 years. The Pier del Sol honoree for 2018 is AEG and Chief Revenue Officer Todd Goldstein. Honorary co-chairs of the event are Maria Shriver and Bobby Shriver. Attendees will enjoy a day of games, rides and amazing food at the historic Santa Monica Pier and Pacific Park.”
The VIP Brunch includes unlimited rides to Pacific Park and 12 game booth tickets. The special VIP Brunch will feature amazing food from L.A.’s top chefs and restaurants.
Admission to the VIP Brunch is $175 per adult ticket and $75 for children (ages 5 to 12 – available at the door day of event only). VIP Group Packages are available. A group of four is $600.
Some of the featured chefs within the VIP Brunch at Pier del Sol include Angelini Osteria, The Baklava House, BJ’s Restaurants, Clementine, Dulan’s on Crenshaw Soul Food, El Cholo, Four Stars Private Cuisine, Hache LA, Normandie Restaurant, Kalie, Lunetta, Luze Sunset Boulevard Hotel, Mariasol, Melisse, Mon Cheri, Pinks Hot Dogs, Playa Provisons, Porta Via, Providence, Sprinkles, Tanino, Terroni and beverages from Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling.
General admission to the event is $75 per ticket and includes unlimited ride wristband (valid all day after the event is over until the park closes), eight game booth tickets, and a meal/beverage coupon to be redeemed at the Pacific Park Food Plaza. Group packages for general admission, which include four tickets, are $250. You can’t beat that deal!
