Adventures & Activities (bikes, kayaks, cave, Gotland Ring racetrack) in Stockholm and Gotland, Sweden- August 2024
The best attractions in Sweden were from 2 companies. The first one was in Stockholm called Stockholm Adventures which provided a variety of options. One day, I went for the bike rental to get around the city and check out an island or two going over some bridges. I also went on their kayak for a day trip and paddled around a couple other islands through the beautiful scenery. Lastly, I tried a segway group tour with a guide that was exciting and very fun as I had never tried it before. We went around the old city and to other parts of the city. Overall, a great time and I highly recommend utilizing Stockholm Adventures on your next visit to explore, tour and get around with some exercise.

When visiting Gotland (Sweden’s biggest island), a must to get around is Gotlands Cykeluthyrning.
They are in Visby which is the main town in Gotland and near the downtown/walls. They have a variety of regular and ebikes and no better way to see quite a bit. I even rode to the famous Lumme Lunda Cave for their group & 3 hr adventure tour while having lunch at their tasty grill/buffet. I also rode to some beaches including Trofta Beach and to a hike with cliffs & a walking trail. There is no better way to get great exercise while taking in the beauty. The Ebike was great for the inner city full of hills within the walls and all around Visby so rent a bike from Gotlands Cykeluthyrning on your next visit.

About Lumme Luda Grottan Cave
I highly recommend Luma Linda cave adventure. About a 20 or 30 minute drive north from downtown Visby but worth it. You can start with one of their regular 30 minute tours which go a small portion of the cave with a tour guide. Definitely have a bite to eat at the excellent lunch buffet where they will cook up some chicken, meat or fish and then you self serve yourself with all the side, dishes and vegetables.
The three hour adventure is a must. You first are instructed how to put on all the necessary clothing to try to keep yourself from getting wet. You start your tour with two tour guides will take you into the cave first and the small little to get to the next section. Then you’ll crawl, climb and walk your way through the cave. There are certain times where the tour guides will do something unique off your head have to crawl on the way holding onto the back of someone’s foot. You have to jump across and hang onto rocks. Definitely get wet and soaked. Definitely a suggestion is to bring a towel and a change of clothes.

If you are looking for the most exciting/thrilling experience, head to Gotland Ring, which is a professional big racetrack. People come from around the world to check it out. You can reserve a ride like I did with one of their professional drivers in their cars or bring one of your own. Also great for groups and big events. The owner/designer Alec is super hospitable, welcoming and makes the adventure drive exhilarating. You can either bring a car or pay and just be the passenger taking a couple laps around the track heading up to speed over 150 miles an hour with sharp turns and plenty of g-force. It was much better than any amusement park got had some same effects that race car drivers feel. It’s the World’s longest modern standard race & test circuit. 7.3 km
Here is a video of my ride there and I apologize for any bad words but it caught me offguard.
