LA Kings defeat Las Vegas at Crypto.com Arena to avenge loss the week before- Oct. 2024
The LA Kings were determined to avenge their road loss to Vegas last week at Crypto.com Arena and they did so with a spirited 6 -3 victory. They got off to a hot start scoring early with Warren Foegele stealing Vegas goalies Thompson’s clearing pass to slip it to make it 1-0 Adrian Kempe had a great game and had a goal and assist as did Kevin Fiala. They got off to a 4-0 start before Vegas scored one to make it four to one after two periods. The crowd was kind of light as it was game five of the World Series and for the first time they televised the dodger game on the big screen during the second intermission as they closed out the Yankees to win the World Series and send the crowd into a frenzy. They scored two more goals in the third period to make it 6-1 and went on to the win 6-3after a tough road loss the night before in San Jose. Alex Laferriere and Joel Edmundson also scored while Brandt Clarke had 3 assists. Darcy Kuemper made 23 saves and Anze Kopitar recorded his 800th assist. Pavel Dorefeyev scored 2 goals and ex-King Tanner Pearson also scored but the Kings were too tough to win 3 of their last 4 games.
