The Boiling Crab in Westwood is a delicious dining extravaganza one of a kind experience- April 2025

The Boiling Crab Westwood – A Dirty, Delicious Seafood Adventure!

If you’re looking for a seafood spot where fun meets flavor and you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty, The Boiling Crab Westwood is your next must-visit. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by Edith, the manager, who helped guide us through the epic menu of seafood and sauces. She was a total pro, and her excitement was contagious. Our server, Alissa, kept that same great energy going and made the whole experience even better.

We started with their new cocktails—an Old Fashioned made with Knob Creek and a Hurricane bursting with rum and citrus. Both hit the spot for each of us and set the mood for the messy feast ahead.

Then came the bibs, the gloves, and the glorious chaos.

We dove into a seafood spread that included clams, crawfish, lobster, shrimp, and crab—each served in plastic bags filled with bold, saucy goodness. We tried a mix of their signature sauces: Rajun Cajun, Garlic Butter, Lemon Pepper, and the Whole Sha-Bang! (which combines them all). Pro tip: go for mild if you want a kick without the fire.

At first, I was trying to eat politely, but the flavor took over and suddenly I was in full beast mode—finger-licking, sauce-covered, and grinning like a kid. This isn’t dainty dining, it’s full-on seafood celebration. And yes, we made a total mess. But that’s part of the charm—it feels like a wild backyard boil with friends, just like Yo’Daddy and Yo’Mama dreamed it would be.

We also tried the fried soft shell crab basket (yum!) and ended on a high note with churros served with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. Sweet, warm, crispy heaven.

In short: this place is a blast. Maybe not ideal for a first date—unless you’re ready to see each other with sauce all over your faces—but perfect when you’re in the mood for dirty fun and damn good seafood.

We left full, happy, and just a little sticky. And we’ll absolutely be back.
