Garagiste Festival Urban Exposure Wine Event on June 21st in Glendale- Preview, Tickets
This year’s Garagiste Festival: Urban Exposure features a tasting seminar featuring a panel of winemakers, including Jerry Ulrich (Decemil Estate), Alexandra Henkleman (Omega Road Winery), Mike Stiekema (Stiekema Wine Co.), and Larry Schaffer (Tercero Wines), renowned for their interpretations of Mourvèdre, a Spanish grape which has found its perfect second home in California!
Along with fan favorites, winemakers pouring at the festival for the first time include:
- Decemil Estate: Winemaker Jerry Ulrich is pouring his 1st Vintage from Decemil’s five-acre micro estate in Paso Robles Willow Creek District AVA
- Effenberger Vineyards: Award-winners for their Sangiovese and Sagrantino, micro-winery Effenberger is the first San Diego County Winery to participate in Garagiste
- Flowers & Cheese: LA-based husband and wife team, Antonio and Michelle Brunetti handcraft their wines naturally with a primary focus on grape varieties grown in LA County
- Rincon Mountain Winery: With deep roots in Ventura County winemaker Edward Darren built Rincon Mountain Winery on his family’s 140-acre avocado ranch
Garagiste Festival: Urban Exposure Schedule:
11:30am – ‘A Deep Dive Into Mourvèdre: How Place Affects Style’ (VIP ticket holders only)
1:00pm – “Early Access: Rare and Reserve” tasting winemakers pour library, club-only or reserve wines. (limited tickets)
2:00pm – 5:00pm – The Grand Tasting with 40+ winemakers pouring their own wines. Complimentary cheese & charcuterie from local wine bar Vintage Wine + Eats is provided and attendees will have the opportunity to bid on the festival’s popular wines during a Silent Auction which supports the Garagiste Festival Scholarship fund of the California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo Wine and Viticulture Department.
