Bacari West Adams – A Flavor-Packed Feast Worth Sharing

Written by Todd Elliot & Jeff Zimerman
Dining at Bacari West Adams is like stepping into a hidden garden party—casual yet refined, with an inviting vibe that instantly makes you feel like a regular. Their menu of small plates is a delicious journey through Mediterranean-inspired flavors, meant for sharing, savoring, and lingering over with good company. Service is friendly and chill, with servers who actually want to help you navigate the menu.
We started strong with the Burrata CapreseBurrata di Gioia at its finest, silky and rich, paired with sweet heirloom cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, and a vibrant basil walnut pesto. A dusting of grey salt elevated the freshness, while slices of crusty baguette made it a perfect opener.

The Tuscan Kale Salad was equally compelling—crispy black and rainbow kale mingled with Persian cucumber, cherry tomatoes, and green onion. Crumbled feta added a creamy tang, balanced by the earthy warmth of za’atar and sumac. The kale tahini dressing brought everything together with a velvety finish.

Next came the Vegan Pizza, a standout for both flavor and creativity. The base was crisp and charred, topped with organic tomato sauce, roasted garlic, juicy tomato slices, and caramelized onions. A handful of mixed greens added just the right touch of brightness.
The Mujadara Lentil & Basmati Rice Pilaf is a Middle Eastern-inspired dish featuring a comforting blend of lentils and basmati rice, topped with shallots prepared two ways—crispy and caramelized. It’s finished with a bright herb vinaigrette and a squeeze of lemon, adding freshness to the earthy base. This dish is both gluten-free and vegan-friendly, making it a versatile choice for various dietary preferences.

The Pan-Seared Sea Bass was a showstopper—perfectly cooked with a crisp edge and tender interior. Charred shishito peppers and sweet corn added pops of flavor, while a drizzle of tarragon aioli and pomegranate molasses made each bite sing. The grilled lemon was a thoughtful, zesty touch.

For a bold veggie dish, Noa’s Cauliflower delivered—caramelized and smoky with a chipotle glaze, balanced out by fresh mixed greens. It was both hearty and light, packing a ton of flavor without feeling heavy.

Scallop Medallions—delicately seared and served on a silky carrot-parsnip purée with melted leek and crispy capers. Beet chips added crunch, and a hint of white truffle oil tied everything together in the most elegant way.

For dessert, Bacari pulls no punches. The Best Cake lives up to its name—a sticky, warm medjool date cake bathed in brown sugar caramel and topped with a scoop of ice cream. It’s gooey, nostalgic, and completely addictive. Then there’s the Malabi—a rosewater custard that’s light and floral, with candied pistachios, shaved coconut, and a tangy hibiscus finish. It’s delicate, dreamy, and the perfect final note.

Verdict: Bacari West Adams is more than a restaurant—it’s an experience. Whether you’re a dedicated foodie or just want to graze your way through inventive, deeply satisfying plates, this spot delivers. Go for the vibe, stay for the burrata, and don’t skip dessert. We will definitely be back. Visit them at any of their eight locations. https://www.eatwithbacari.com/
