Beautiful “Waterfront Restaurant” at the Sydney Harbor, Australia (1/05)

     How about enjoying some of the finest and freshest Seafood with the most incredible view in Australia. Well, look no further as I experienced first hand the Waterfront Restaurant overlooking the Harbor and the Famous Sydney Harbor Bridge. We were lucky enough to dine in January when the Bridge gets fully lit with multi colors during the warm summer evening.   The food was to die-for as we started with succulent Fresh Rock Oysters with Tomato Relish; Tender appetizer Squid cooked to perfection with a nice lime-dipping sauce; Baby Octopus Salad with Avocado and Sun-Dried Tomatoes; and a Thai Salad with Moreton Bay Bugs. My first experience trying these bugs. They are actually shellfish similar to Big Prawns and taste much better than they sound.  We devoured it all along with the Hot Herb Bread and were ready for the main courses.

     The specialties of the House are The Fresh Lobsters and varieties of the Fresh Fish they bring in.  We shared a few of the fish selections such as Oven Roasted Wild Barramundi Fillets that were very delicate and delicious; John Dory Grilled Fillets were very tasty; and Flat-Grilled Snapper Fillets were my favorite.  Other selections include the Tasmanian Salmon, Beer Battered Fish and Chips and a Fresh Local Fish of the day where you can choose how you would like it prepared or take the Whole Fish Fried with Salsa.  In any case, you cannot go wrong fine dining with the best seafood around accompanied by some great wine from their nice wine list or Spirits from their Full Bar while enjoying the outdoor atmosphere and breath taking views.  Side dishes with your main courses include Moroccan Style Cous-Cous, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Steamed Roasted Kipfler Potatoes, Chips (French Fries); and other vegetable choices.  Enjoy some of their nice desserts with some after dinner drink to complete your great experience.
