Nootka Kayak & SUP in Stiges- beach town near Barcelona, Spain is super fun- May 2026

If you’re visiting Sitges near Barcelona, I highly recommend checking out Nootka Kayak & Sup. Such an awesome experience in one of the most beautiful beach towns in Spain. Sitges itself feels like a hidden Mediterranean postcard — gorgeous coastline, relaxed atmosphere, palm-lined promenades, and crystal-clear water.

The team at Nootka was incredibly welcoming, professional, and fun from the moment we arrived. The director, Jaume Pujol, was especially helpful and accommodating with me and the other guests, making everyone feel comfortable and well taken care of. Whether you’re a total beginner or already experienced with kayaking or paddle boarding, they make the whole experience easy and enjoyable.

Their location right on Playa de Les Anquines is perfect, with calm protected water and amazing views of the Sitges coastline and Garraf Natural Park. They also had convenient changing rooms available, which made everything much easier before and after getting out on the water.

What really stood out was how much they offer beyond just rentals. They have guided kayak excursions, paddle surf tours, Hawaiian canoe experiences, surfski adventures, courses, and even group/team-building activities. The equipment was excellent quality and the instructors clearly know the coastline and sea conditions extremely well.

We loved paddling along the coast and discovering little coves and scenic spots you’d never see from land. Afterward, it was easy to relax by the beach and enjoy the laid-back Sitges atmosphere with drinks and food nearby. The whole experience felt adventurous while still being relaxing and fun.

Nootka has been operating since 2004 and it really shows in how organized, friendly, and professional the company is. Definitely one of the highlights of our time near Barcelona and something I’d absolutely do again.
