If you’re visiting Solvang, the Solvang Restaurant is an absolute must! We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Jeff, who was incredibly hospitable, personable, and genuinely made us feel like family. It’s easy to see why this restaurant has become such a beloved tradition for both locals and visitors.
The restaurant is famous for its authentic Danish specialties, especially Famous Aebleskiver—light, fluffy Danish pancake balls served with raspberry jam and powdered sugar. They’re simply delicious and a must-order when you visit. Their signature Danish pancakes are another favorite, and the menu also offers a wonderful variety of breakfast classics, including eggs cooked to order, omelets, Belgian waffles, French toast, Danish sausage, and many other traditional Danish and American favorites. They also serve lunch, making it a great stop any time of day.
What makes this restaurant even more special is its rich history. Jeff shared that his family has played a significant role in preserving Solvang’s Danish heritage. His parents helped establish the town’s Danish dining tradition and were also behind the popular Copenhagen Circle down the street, helping shape the authentic Danish experience that has made Solvang famous.
Located right in the heart of downtown Solvang, the restaurant has been welcoming guests for generations. The beautiful interior features handcrafted Danish woodwork, murals inspired by Hans Christian Andersen fairy tales, and authentic Danish décor that creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. Na Na Thai is easily one of the best dining experiences in the Santa Ynez Valley and well worth the short drive from Solvang. Don’t let its mini-mall location or slightly higher prices fool you—this restaurant is absolutely top-notch.
Owned by husband-and-wife team Chef Nik Ramirez and Ashley Ramirez, Na Na Thai brings authentic Bangkok street-food flavors to California’s wine country. After living in Bangkok for four years, the couple developed a deep appreciation for Thailand’s vibrant food culture, and their passion shines through in every dish. The restaurant itself is inspired by Soi Na Na, the Bangkok street where they once lived. Their story and commitment to authenticity make the dining experience even more special.
We started with the green salad, loaded with fresh vegetables and tossed in a delicious, flavorful dressing. The fried calamari was perfectly crisp and tender, while the Hamachi Crudo with avocado was beautifully presented—fresh, delicate, and absolutely delicious.
For entrées, the mild green curry with chicken and vegetables was a standout. Rich, aromatic, and incredibly flavorful, it’s a must-order dish. We also enjoyed the Pad Thai with jumbo king shrimp and the Pad See Ew noodles with chicken and vegetables, both expertly prepared and packed with authentic Thai flavors. Sticky rice and fragrant jasmine rice were available to accompany the meal, and a side of sautéed vegetables made a wonderful addition.
The atmosphere is modern, open, and inviting, creating a relaxed yet polished dining experience. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming throughout our visit.
To finish, we indulged in one of their delicious ice cream desserts—the perfect ending to an outstanding meal. By the time dessert arrived, we were completely satisfied and already planning our next visit.

If you’re looking for an outstanding Mexican dining experience in downtown San Luis Obispo, make sure La Esquina Taqueria is at the top of your list! From the moment we arrived, manager JP made us feel genuinely welcome with his warm hospitality and accommodating service.
La Esquina is brought to you by the same owners of the beloved Ciopinot Seafood Grille, and they’ve once again created a restaurant that’s all about exceptional food, outstanding service, and a vibrant atmosphere. The restaurant has a lively, stylish vibe that’s perfect for a fun night out with friends or family.
Every dish we tried was excellent. Don’t miss the black bean soup—it’s rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The mango salad is fresh, colorful, and incredibly refreshing. Their house-made guacamole is some of the best you’ll find, packed with fresh ingredients and amazing flavor.
The shrimp fajitas arrived sizzling and were cooked to perfection, while the grilled snapper, served with fresh vegetables and rice, was light, flavorful, and beautifully prepared.
To complete the experience, treat yourself to one of their outstanding tequilas, mezcal selections, or handcrafted margaritas. Their impressive bar program perfectly complements the incredible food. They also have the dulce de leche cake.

Enoteca at Bellasera Hotel & Suites – A Memorable Dining Experience in Paso Robles
Located inside the elegant Bellasera Hotel & Suites in Paso Robles, Enoteca offers a beautiful blend of sophisticated décor, warm hospitality, and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine. Our dinner began with two exceptional starters: the grilled prawns and the creamy burrata, both fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Next came the Panzanella salad, served in an eye-catching dish that was as impressive visually as it was delicious.
For the main course, we ordered the Branzino, and it is absolutely not to be missed. Served whole, the fish was perfectly cooked with crisp skin and tender, flaky meat that highlighted the restaurant’s Mediterranean influence. Alongside it, we shared crispy fingerling potatoes and roasted carrots, both excellent accompaniments that completed the meal.
