19th annual “Taste of Newport Beach” with Great Food and Music (September 14-16, 07)

World Class Live Entertainment to Keep You Moving
Celebrating its 19th spectacular year in 2007, the delicious mix of great food, drink, music and fun will attract over 75,000 people to Newport Center Drive at Fashion Island for the party of the year. The three-day food, wine and music festival proudly presented by Wells Fargo and hosted by the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce will be held Friday, September 14th from 6:00pm to 11:00pm, Saturday, September 15th from 4:00pm to 11:00pm, and Sunday, September 16th from Noon to 8:00pm. There will be FREE parking in the designated structures at the Santa Rosa entrance, as well as available valet service.
The Taste of Newport serves up culinary masterpieces from nearly 35 of Newport Beach’s finest Restaurants, as well as 15 premium wineries from throughout California, ice cold brews and delicious cocktails. The restaurants are truly spectacular, offering everything from barbeque seared ahi and tiramisu to prime rib and crème brulee. Spectacular Live Entertainment
In addition to all the great tastes at the event, some of the finest live musical acts to ever perform in Newport Beach have been featured on the Taste of Newport Sound Stage. Our 2007 Lineup will be announced soon. Last year’s lineup included Smashmouth, The Go-Go’s and Kenny Loggins. Be sure to visit the Stage page for updates on this year’s schedule. The Taste of Newport Sound Stage will run throughout all hours of the festival and all entertainment is FREE with the price of admission.

Please visit our Tickets page for complete information. General Admission will be $22 purchased in-advance for Friday and Saturday. General Admission tickets for Friday and Saturday will be $25 at the gate. Tickets for Sunday (advanced and at the gate) will be $18. Children under 8 will be admitted FREE. Be sure to visit participating restaurants for admission discount coupons good for $3 off Friday and Saturday gate admission.
Volunteering
The biggest party of the year cannot happen without over 900 dedicated volunteers at the event to pour wine, beer, sell tickets, etc. Volunteers receive an Official Taste of Newport T-shirt, FREE admission to the Taste on the day they work and have a great time (ask a volunteer from the past- they’ll tell you what a blast it is!). Additionally, every volunteer who attends the volunteer orientation will receive another FREE Taste of Newport admission ticket to use on another day, or pass on to a friend. Admission includes all musical entertainment. Due to the size of the event, advance ticket orders may cease at any time prior to the event. Children 8 years and under will be admitted free. However, the promoters of this event stress that due to the high volume of people at the event, parents are discouraged from bringing children in strollers on Friday or Saturday night. Beach chairs, coolers and personal beverages are strictly prohibited at the Taste of Newport. Bags are subject to search. Health code requirements prohibit animals at the event (special assistance animals are permitted). Failure to comply will result in denial of admission to the event.
