“Cool Scholl Revisted Exhibition and Sale open through January 11, 2008

Give the Gift of Art This Holiday Season!

Imagine the look on your loved one’s face this holiday when they are surprised with the gift of a lifetime. A work of art by a legendary artist. What an amazing opportunity, to give or own a part of history. In addition to the warmth and beauty that a work of art brings to a home, art is also a financial investment that will continue to grow with age. What better way to say “I love you”?

This legendary exhibit, “Cool School Revisited” Exhibition and Sale was inspired by the new documentary “Cool School”, directed by Morgan Neville produced by Cedd Moses, which features Ferus Gallery Artists, Billy Al Bengston, Dennis Hopper, and Ken Price, as well as artists mentioned above. Venice Community Trust created this exhibit as a tribute to the artistic contributions made by the original Ferus Gallery artists from the 1960’s La Cienega Art Scene.

When purchasing one of these amazing works of art, not only will you and your loved ones walk away with a renowned work of inspiration from 1960’s Art Scene, but you will also be contributing to a great cause…. helping teenagers determine their future.

A portion of the “Cool School Revisited” Sale will help to continue The Venice Community Trust’s, newly established “Films for Schools” outreach program. “Films for Schools”

was created to broaden high school students’ view of future career possibilities as well as

to give them options and ideas on how to pursue different types of ‘behind the scenes’ jobs

in the film industry.

The art will remain on exhibit, weekdays through Jan 11th by appointment only from

9:00 am to 5:00pm at Ravenswork Studios 1611 Electric Ave., in Venice.
