Milan Womenswear Show Spring 2007
(Milano Moda Donna)
Saturday, September 23, 2006 through Sunday, September 30, 2006

The Milan show has a new name, Milano Moda Donna, but will be held at the same venues.  This primadonna of shows  primarily takes place in the pavilions of the Fiera di Milano and surrounding locations.

The most important prêt-a-porter show in Italy, and probably in the world, arrives with women’s collections for spring/summer 2007.
For nine days, the city will be invaded by an army of trade operators, journalists and, of course, beautiful models who will parade on the catwalk from Saturday, 23 September to Sunday, 1 October.

There will be more than 100 fashion shows organized during the hottest week of Italian fashion, which will primarily take place in the pavilions of the Fiera di Milano or at locations selected by the fashion houses.   All the big names on the world scene will be there.  Among the most anticipated unveiling is called N-U-DE, a vaguely sexy acronym that stands for New Upcoming Designers.

The newest trend is that Milan, where some say fashion began, is “On The Ramp For The Information Superhighway.”    With both Valentino and Marni launching e-commerce sites this month, Milan’s high street fashion enters a new channel of distribution, the internet.  See their new site, www.Marni.com for fashion news and highlights.

Admission to the fashion shows is reserved to sector operators, but the entire city will experience the frenzy of events that circle around the show.
