House of Blues Benefit for the New Orleans Musicians in LA on 10/27/05

Well to all those who missed this, it is a shame. Having all the following Great Legendary Musicians together on one stage on the same night was something special.  The evening to raise money for the Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund and the Louisiana Musicians called "Second Line on Sunset” featured the one and only Neville Brothers as the headliner.  Other notables were The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Kermit Ruffins, Walter "Wolfman" Washington, Troy "Trombone Shorty" Andrews and my personal favorite "Jon Cleary & Absolute Monster Gentlemen" with some of the Dirty Dozen Brass Band sitting in on certain songs after their set. Cleary is one of the all time greats on Piano/Keyboards and they kept the night rockin before the Fantastic Neville Brothers hit the stage to please the crowd to finish off the outstanding night!  Hopefully, New Orleans will be back in full force for Jazzfest in 2006 to see all of these great bands! I visited last year and am totally addicted and plan to go every year! That is an event not to miss- The Greatest all around event I have been to in the USA.  Any future donations can be made to the Hurricane Relief Fund or Red Cross to help out. More info on how to send that and future show/ticket info for the House of Blues at 323-848-5100.
