We will be screening a diverse range of features, documentaries, animations and shorts from all over the world as well as hosting a number of West Coast premieres and after-parties."

Some of this year’s Los Angeles festival highlights include:

PictoCrime: Made in the style of an MTV video, PictoCrime blurs the boundary between live action and comic book fantasy when two brothers, Jerry and Larry, are caught up in a scheme to blackmail the devil out of his souls. PictoCrime leaps between chaotic events and double-crossing characters where everyone and everything leads to a priceless antique known as the "green."

Picture This: Blondie and Debbie Harry : Documentary focusing on world-famous photographer Mick Rock as he shoots Debbie Harry [BLONDIE]. He shares their history through words and pictures of their relationship from the 70’s to now. Rock also includes a recent shoot with world famous rocker Michael Stipe [ REM ]

Portraits of a Naked Lady Dancer : Award winning documentary by feminist Deborah Rowe. Poignant issues and raw honesty is the backdrop to these women’s all-nude dance routines. Quick-witted and smart, these dancers are not afraid to poke fun at themselves, and as the surface layers unfold, give us a deeper understanding of their struggles and realities of being a dancer in light of the current, more negative stereotypes.

What are the Odds . Within a cookie is a fortune. This secret is revealed to Mike (Jon Abrahams) during a robbery at a Chinese restaurant. Needing to pay off a gambling debt, he realizes he can help a friend (Sharon Leal), if not his boss (Steven R. Schirripa), while helping himself take advantage of this gift from above.

Regarding Medical Marijuana : Documentary that takes a hard hitting look at Medical Marijuana in the modern day. This documentary feature interviews with people from both sides of the struggle surrounding this issue, featuring appearances by Michael Moore, George H.W. Bush, Dennis Peron (Prop 215) Ed Rosenthal, John Walters (National Drug Control Policy)
