There are a few options to ski in south of Tahoe including resorts such as "Heavenly", "Kirkwood" and "Sierra at Tahoe". We ended up skiing at Sierra at the end of the season. Even in mid April with spring conditions, the snow was pretty good. The mountain offers all types of terrains (from beginner to expert) and is never too crowded. Sierra also offers credit vouchers if you cannot stay the whole day, which gives you a discount on a return visit. This underrated mountain is bigger and better than many people think or know about. This resort is definitely a sleeper in a good way. For more info, go to www.sierratahoe.com for their resort website. A great place for all types of activities is called "Lake Tahoe Adventures", which is located in the south of Tahoe also. To contact them, call (530)577-2940 or visit their website at www.laketahoeadventure.com Their adventures are year around, offering snowmobiling with the top of the line Arctic Cat machines to ride on. They have guided tours for either beginners or ultimate tours, which are more challenging and exciting customized to your ability. In the summer, this great company offers ATV, Jeep, and Hummer tours.

The most exciting nightlife in Tahoe is in the south also. Casino resort hotels such as Caesers, Harveys, The Horizon, and Harrahs are located their. Gambling, music, and all types of entertainment can be found there. We ended up catching the Joe Louis Walker/Elvin Bishop blues concert show at Harrahs. These veteran musicians put on a great show full of outstanding music.

Have fun and enjoy plenty of activities on your next trip out there.
