LA Free Clinic 10th Annual Fundraiser at 20th Century Fox in LA on July 21, 07

On June 24th we attended The Los Angeles Free Clinic’s, Extravaganza for the Senses.  The clinic, which provides free medical care for the uninsured and poor, held its10th annual fund raiser under the stars at 20th Century Fox Saturday night. There were approximately 1500 guests in attendance including Mary Lynn Rajskub (24), T.J. Thyne (Bones), Julie Pinson (Days of Our Lives), Billy Warlock (The Young and The Restless), Howard Dell (The Young and The Restless) Assembly member Mike Feuer and Mayor John Duran of West Hollywood . We enjoyed an assortment of food and wine, participated in a silent auction and even danced to great music by DJ Scott Silva’s lively, eclectic mix of world, pop, jazz and hip-hop tunes.

The silent auction featured a 7-night stay at the Fairmont Kea Lani in Maui with Roundtrip airfare for two, a Sonoma Wine Extravaganza featuring Chauffeur, Wine Encounters and 4-night stay for two, a NEXTEL/NASCAR Racing Package with 4-night stay and airfare for two,  a Machu-Pichu in Orient-Express Luxury 7-night package with airfare for two and hundreds of other great items. More than 100 wineries and 40 Los Angeles restaurants (see below for some of them named) donated fine wine and food for the event. We tasted everything from sushi to macaroni and cheese to cupcakes to burritos to vegan dishes. There was plenty of food and something to satisfy everyone’s taste buds.
