Torrance Chamber hosts Food & Wine Festival to benefit the Torrance Memorial Medical Center (8/2/08)

Torrance, CA—On Saturday, August 2nd, American Honda, in conjunction with the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce will hold An Evening Under the Stars, the 22nd Annual Gourmet Food & Wine Tasting Festival. The Festival will take place on the grounds of American Honda at 700 Van Ness Ave. in Torrance. The cost for one ticket is $100 and $180 for two. The event will begin at 7:00 pm and conclude at 10:00 pm.
Participating restaurants include Trump National Golf Club, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse, Café Cego’s and Brix Catering and 80 varieties of wine will be served. Every year the proceeds from the Festival go to a particular charity, and the beneficiary for 2008 is Torrance Memorial Medical Center. The funds have been allocated and will go to the center’s pediatrics services and to the proposed New Tower, which is still in the building stages.
Entertainment will be brought to you by contemporary jazz artist and saxophonist Michael Paulo. Paulo, previously under contract with MCA Records has gone on to produce his own record label Noteworthy Records and still performs at concerts and venues around the world.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to bid on a number of valuable items through the silent auction and the winner of the Opportunity Drawing will go home with a brand new 2008 Honda Accord Coupe from American Honda Motor Co., Inc.
