Agua Serena Spa at the Hyatt Resort in Indian Wells is a refreshing Oasis in the desert (11/08)

We had visited the Agua Serena Spa at Hyatt Grand Champions Resort once before. It was just as spectacular the second time around.  This time, however I was four months pregnant and looking forward to my first Prenatal Massage. My massage therapist, Colleen couldn’t have been more helpful, knowledgeable or caring. She expertly walked me through what she would be doing and explained to me the process each step of the way. She even gave me tips on sleeping positions and things I can do for my back as the pregnancy progresses. I felt relaxed, nurtured and cared for as I left the massage room. Colleen is just one example of the type of people who work at the Spa. She has been there for 20 years and her love of her job shows.  We have found everyone at the spa to be proud of what they do and seemingly happy to be a part of such a beautiful environment.

Jane, our esthetician, went overtime with us both and gave us two great facials. She spent time with us after the facial to recommend different skin care products that would help maintain our glow from our facials. Each facial was catered to our special skin care needs. Jane used the Arcona skin care line on me. Arcona was developed by a chemist who pioneered holistic skin care long before it was trendy to do so. The products do not contain petrochemicals, binders or fillers, chemical stabilizers, parabens, sodium lauryl sulphates, perfumes, dyes, or any other caustic, toxic ingredients.  With ingredients like oatmeal, cranberry, green tea and pumpkin you can imagine the aromas that I experienced during the facial. It was delicious. My face was absolutely glowing when I left the room!

As for me, Todd, Jane used the Phytomer line of products.  Phytomer utilizes Marine ingredients along with milk, seawater and other natural ingredients to hydrate dry skin.  My skin is very dry and needed some moisturizing type products so Jane went to work on me and after I was feeling refreshed and my face was satiated.

Next up for me was a deep tissue massage by Kristin who pried into my tight muscles. It was spectacular and had me very relaxed.  I came out rubber legged and wobbly as Kristin used perfect pressure to alleviate my strong, difficult muscles.  This full body massage was a great way to cap the weekend.
