New Year’s Eve Aboard the Queen Mary

Celebrate New Year’s Eve 2008 aboard the Queen Mary! Guests will get the chance to go to five parties for the price of one! Our amazing line up of entertainment includes retro-jazz, hits from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, Latin and contemporary pop and much more! This exclusive party takes over the Queen Mary and is the only event on board that evening! Visit five rooms (some with midnight balloon drops) and dance the night away. The evening finishes up with a gigantic firework display right off the stern of the ship, so you will have the best seat in all of Long Beach and South Bay. Special hotel packages are available. Sir Winston’s is also offering a New Year’s Eve private event hosted in the five-star restaurant.

Doors open at 8:00 p.m. in all locations. Fireworks begin at 12:20 a.m. sharp.

For those who wish to come aboard early for dinner before the evening’s festivities, the Promenade Café will be open regular hours with a special buffet from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. for $29.95 per person. At 9:00 p.m. the restaurant will continue with its regular menu until closing.

The Chelsea, our four-star seafood bistro, will be open during regular hours and serving a decadent prix fixe menu for $69 per person.

Donna and the Lost Boys

Performing hits from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s in the Art Deco Observation Bar. Enjoy lively spirits and dancing with panoramic ocean views from this gorgeous 1930’s jewel.

Tony Guerrero and the Hi-Fi Quintet

This swinging band is taking the retro-jazz scene by storm with their B3 organ sound and lineup of top-notch musicians performing in the Royal Salon. This ensemble embraces the jazz spectrum from big band to the optimistic sounds of the 50’s and 60’s. These engaging entertainers deliver timeless music with a Rat-Pack punch!

The Platters

This recording group has sold over 100 million records and was one of the most popular bands of the 50’s and 60’s and are still shining today. Join The Platters as they perform live in the Queen’s Salon with some of their greatest hits including The Great Pretender, Smoke Gets in Your Eyes and Magic Touch. Be there at midnight when the balloons drop!!

Red Loquita

This amazing band is led by popular Latin singer and radio personality, Tera Bonilla, who is the afternoon DJ on Movin’ 93.9FM. Backed by some of the most talented musicians in the industry, this group does it all, from Latin groves to top 40 hits, join Red Loquita in the Grand Salon. You wouldn’t want to miss it! The Grand Salon will also have a balloon drop at midnight!

David Gil DJ

The party will be jumping at the Britannia Salon with this acclaimed DJ playing today’s hottest songs with a few classics thrown into the mix! And hey, stick around for the firework show, because this is the best view on the ship!!
