The Doral Desert Princess Resort near Palm Springs, Ca. is a great find and must visit/stay!(3/09)
Doral Desert Princess Resort made us feel at home from the very beginning. On our way to the hotel the staff guided us by telephone in a friendly manner to the resort as not to get lost. When we arrived they were extremely friendly from the valet to the welcoming staff at the front desk. This elegant resort features 285 spacious guestrooms and suites for both business and leisure guests. There is high-speed wireless internet access, private balconies and even a spa bathtub. All the rooms are non-smoking and pet friendly. Suites are 1200 square feet with a formal living room, dinning room and a wet bar.
Guests can enjoy the 5000 square foot pool deck, 27 holes of championship golf, 10 tournament-style tennis courts, and a full-service spa. The Doral resort has a full service restaurant for fine dinning: serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with room service also available. We had an incredible breakfast our first day with the hospitable general manager, Elie Zod, overlooking the beautiful golf course. The omelets and blueberry pancakes were to die for!
During our stay we played golf on one of the three incredible well-manicured 9 hole courses. The staff was friendly and helped with our golf cart & more. We then got our rackets and hit some tennis balls on one of 10 newly resurfaced courts. If you want to work out there are two well-equipped gyms (one at the tennis center and one in the main hotel). Plus swimming or relaxing at the Olympic sized pool was fabulous. The jacuzzi was a great way to wind down and it is open until 10pm (same as the pool).
If you have a meeting or seminar this resort is the place to be. There are 14 meeting rooms and two hospitality suites. The convention center features 23,000 square feet of flexible meeting space with wireless connectivity provided The resort also has full banquet facilities with catering for Private Events & Weddings. This 4-star resort is located within easy access of the 10 freeway and the Palms Springs’ airport but you would never know it. This oasis of luxury and leisure made for a perfect get-away. We highly recommend this resort, which is only about 2 hours driving from Los Angeles. They have it all right on the premises.
