Announcing the 1st Annual Taste of Abbot Kinney:

Sunday, October 11 : 2 PM – 7 PM

A Walking, Eating, Shopping Tasting Tour

Venice, CA –  The first annual Taste of Abbot Kinney, an Urban Adventure will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2009 from 2 PM – 7 PM.  The walking, eating, drinking tour of the eclectic boulevard’s restaurants, bars and shops will offer ticket holders tastes from almost every restaurant on the street.  Event-goers will check in at 920 Abbot Kinney Boulevard and walk to each restaurant for a sample of their fare.  Select venues will also offer wine, champagne and spirits tastings.  Tickets are $60 for samples of food, wine and spirits. Proceeds will go to Venice-based Inside Out Community Arts, an award-winning, non-profit that brings arts education to underserved Los Angeles school kids.

Home to some of the cities’ most celebrated chefs and local favorites, Abbot Kinney Boulevard features a wide diversity of restaurants.  On one side near Main Street, there’s Joe’s, chef Joe Miller’s Michelin-star establishment and Primitivo, a wine-bar also known for its Spanish-tapas menu.   Near Venice Boulevard, hotspots include The Tasting Kitchen and Lemonade and long-time local favorites, Capri and Marla’s Kitchen.  A free shuttle will take diners all the way to French Market Cafe, at Washington Boulevard.

Ticket holders will be treated to a tasting sample from each restaurant.  Select eateries, including Joe’s, Primitivo, Elvino, The Tasting Kitchen, The Otheroom and Capri will also offer wine and/or spirits tastings for those with wine and spirits ticket.  For a complete list of restaurants visit www.tasteofabbotkinney.com.

Street parking is available on adjacent streets and in public pay lots.
