The fabulous Hilton Waterfront Hotel in Huntington Beach is a great vacation getaway (5/10)

Our stay at the Hilton Waterfront Hotel couldn’t have been more enjoyable. The room was very spacious and decorated nicely.  We had a view of the pool and ocean.  The staff was extremely friendly and hospitable. We were greeted by our name quite a few times, which gave us a warm feeling.  With contemporary furnishings and paintings throughout the property, we highly recommend a vacation to this –four diamond remodeled resort.  All the rooms have some sort of ocean view and new flat panel tvs. This location is very family friendly with activities such as bikes for rent and using the fire-pit to roast marshmallows at the beach right across the street.  There is a fitness center right next to the Jacuzzi and beautiful heated swimming pool, which is adjacent to the palm trees and the lush grounds. 

Shades restaurant is worth the visit alone. Besides serving a delicious breakfast buffet everyday, they have a Sunday brunch. Our favorite was their fabulous dinner.  Our top choices were the pan- fried crab cake, seared scallops with risotto, and organic chicken with polenta.  They also have salads, pasta, steaks and seafood entrees. Once there, you really don’t have to go to far with all the amenities, beach access and proximity to the most popular area in Huntington Beach (Main Street) only about ¼ mile away.
