Gordon Ramsay at the London West Hollywood Hotel by Chef Gordon Ramsay has a lot to offer (12/10)

   Gordon Ramsay at the London Hotel West Hollywood (Celebrity Chef  Ramsay famous for Hell’s Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares) is quite delicious.  The hotel is beautiful in itself and as you enter the restaurant, you feel like you have walked into a romantic, intimate setting for fine dining.  The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable while the food is fantastic.  The portions are not huge but you will walk out with memories of a great evening and tastes of the uniqueness. Try the Hamachi sashimi to start as that will melt in your mouth.  The spicy tuna and beet salad was a nice combination and the risotto with duck confit was another high choice.

     Do not miss their crisp flatbread before you go to the main course.  Selections for your entrée included the London Burger, Risotto with shrimp, handmade linguini with shrimp, crispy chicken, braised short ribs or the two we ordered.  The lamb was one of their top recommendations and was cooked perfectly. We also had the John Dory mild fish since it is hard to find and we could tell it was very fresh and very tasty.  Enjoy some wine with your meal from their extensive wine list or one of their signature cocktails from the bar. 

     The dessert was an easy choice even though there were quite a few great choices.  One was called the Cylinder which was burnt meringue, graham cracker and salted peanuts but incredible when you mixed and ate it all together. Our top choice was the Pink Lady apple tarte tatin with brown butter caramel and vanilla bean ice cream.  Out of this world!

     The ambiance and décor are very nice with great live music you can hear through the sound system from the lounge. Gordon Ramsay at the London West Hollywood  has a very comfortable and relaxed setting and is great place for a date or fabulous fine dining experience.
