“The magic and wonder of Disney is captured within the unique experiences that await families at Disney Store,” said Molly Adams, senior vice president of Disney Store North America, “More than a store, we’ve created a shopping destination where we bring the magic of Disney to life every day.”

The newly-designed Disney Store at Fashion Square opens just in time for Halloween and offers an array of Disney character costumes for kids and toddlers. A top choice for celebrities and their kids in 2011, Disney Store costumes have been spotted on the kids of Molly Ringwald, from the ABC Family show The Secret Life of the American Teenager; Joey Lawrence of ABC Family’s Melissa & Joey; Kyle Richards of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills; actress Candace Cameron; actress Salma Hayek; Nicole Richie and award-winning singer Christina Aguilera, but every kid will feel special when dressed in a high-quality, stylish Disney Store costume for Halloween.

In celebration of Halloween, Disney Store at Westfield Fashion Square and Disney Store locations nationwide will host a Spook-tacular Halloween Dress Rehearsal Party on Friday and Saturday, October 21st at 4:30 pm and 6:30 pm and October 22nd at 10:30am and 12:00pm. The Dress Rehearsal Party includes games, a costume parade, and kids ages 3 and up who wear their favorite costume will receive a FREE gift (while supplies last). As a special bonus, families will view exclusive footage of Rapunzel’s royal celebration at Kensington Palace in London where she was welcomed into the Disney Princess royal court as the 10th princess.

The Sherman Oaks store joins the growing list of newly-designed stores already opened around the world, and by the end of 2011, the Disney Store will have 60 new concept stores in 16 major cities in North America and eight countries.

With each new store opening in the United States and Canada in 2011, Disney Store will donate 10 percent of the first day’s sales to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
