Gourmet Mushrooms Inc. have been in business over 30 years with a wide variety of wild mushrooms. They went Certified Organic in 2003 and they are the best tasting mushrooms I have ever tasted.  I was recently on a feature travel story in San Francisco at the Fairmont Hotel and had some mushrooms at the Laurel Court for dinner that were delicious.  I inquired as I had to find out where they were from so I was provided the company info and had to order a basket of them.  They are fed-exed to your place so you get them fresh and ready to cook and eat which we did during our Thanksgiving dinner.  I have not found such a great a selection that are wild, healthy, safe and tasty.  The beautiful basket they are delivered in is pictured below.  Check out their website and company including the mushrooms and truffle oils at Normal 0 www.mycopia.com

The basket will arrive filled with an assortment of five different specialty mushrooms including Trumpet Royale, Forest Nameko, Brown Clamshell, Velvet Pioppini and Alba Clamshell and comes with a recipe brochure and suggestions for storage and use.

 

You’ll find out a little about our farm and get tips on which mushrooms need to be used right away and which ones will last up to a week or more.

 

Truffle Oil

 

If you are passionate about great truffle oil, we know that you will love a bottle of Sulpizio Italian Truffle Oil. Like Gourmet Mushrooms, Sulpizio Tartufi is a small company dedicated to quality. Both their Black Summer Truffle Oil and White Truffle Oil are made with an extra virgin olive oil base. The truffle oils can be ordered separately, or included with your mushroom gift basket. Remember, truffle oil is a condiment, not a cooking oil. A few drops added to a dish just before serving are enough to provide the instantly recognizable aroma of truffle. Try it with pasta, soups or mashed potatoes.
